Program Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Patient Safety, Error Science and Full Disclosure is an online, three-course program designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of the patient safety field.

The certificate program curriculum offers you the opportunity to develop organizational leadership skills specific to patient safety issues. You will learn strategies for proposing and implementing process improvements within a healthcare organization. And you will be introduced to advanced communication strategies for patient safety success in health care systems, including the Seven Pillars, which were developed at UIC.

All courses are completely online, and designed to enable healthcare professionals to complete the courses while working full time.
