Once you submit your FAFSA application and any additional documents that may be requested, you will receive a financial aid award notification listing any aid you are eligible to receive.

The following major financial aid programs are available at UIC:

  • Federal Direct Loan (subsidized and unsubsidized)
  • Graduate PLUS Loan
  • Illinois Veterans Grant

Graduate Certificate in Patient Safety, Error Science and Full Disclosure

As a graduate certificate program, the Patient Safety online certificate program does not result in a degree; therefore, financial aid is not offered for this program. However, certificate students may wish to look into alternative loans, also known as private loans. These are educational loans offered through a bank or other financial lender. Visit the UIC Office of Student Financial Aid Alternative Loan Web page for more information.
